International Fiesta 2025 HYPE + TEASER + HOST 2025
"IF" (International Fiesta) is a cultural event celebrating diversity, traditions, and student organizations at the University at Buffalo Student Association (UBSA). The host video script follows two hosts as they uncover the "roots" of if, symbolized through an old book that magically transports them into different cultural clubs.

Project Objectives:
Hype up the audience with the host & teaser video.
Create a whole marketing campaign to promote IF 2025.
Run a multi angle live stream for the day of show.
Make sure all the clubs and theme of IF was represented in the most cinematic way possible.
Project Scope: Push boundaries of traditional dance competition through media.
Content Strategy:
Collaborate with clubs and hosts to come up with a story related to roots
Develop a script and storyboard for the one shot & host video, emphasizing the unity of roots.
Design and Animation:
Create visually engaging graphics and animations to convey roots.
Incorporate on-brand colors and design elements to maintain brand consistency.
Post-production:
Delegate the rough cuts to videographers on the team lead by the director in the final cut.
VFX overlays for in camera transitions and screen replacements.
Insane amount of sound effects and color grading to make the final video stand out.
Distribution and Promotion:
Successfully run the live stream showcasing the host video and the dance performances.
Live editing and posting. (5 mins after each performance)
To make sure we do not get copyright strikes and make use of Live streaming laws.
Results: "International Fiesta 2025" event & video successfully achieved its objectives. It received over 1,000,000 views on Instagram 1 month prior to the event. We sold out of tickets and set a record breaking attendance for the dance competition. The youtube live had about 600 live viewers from all over the world, currently accumulating 4k views on youtube and more.
Lessons Learned:
The more you plan ahead the smoother it is for everyone in the team. This project was ambitious so intensive planning and execution was a necessity to pull this project off.
Clubs/Actors/Hosts will support your ambitious project if you show them a detailed outline and plan.
Buying headsets, to communicate with team, & video transmitters, to have multiple angles in live stream, was definitely worth it.
